Our Core Values

Safety

It’s crucial to our process to put safety at the forefront of everything we do. In an effort to strive for zero safety incidents, we build safe practices into every single job, without compromise, without excuses, and without deviation.

Integrity

We expect to work to earn your trust, and we’ll always stand behind our word and our work. We conduct our business ethically, with honesty, and transparency, to allow our clients to feel comfortable and confident with our process as well as the projects we deliver.

Professionalism

The team at Weider Contracting is fully committed to providing cost effective solutions and value-added services to ensure that our clients receive every possible benefit we can reasonably provide. To live up to this promise, we’ll always have the right tools, equipment and knowledge to deliver projects at the highest standards of quality.

Teamwork

Our people are our greatest assets, and each member of our team takes pride in their work as both individuals and a collective group. We hold ourselves and each other accountable for our decisions and actions, because our clients, colleagues, and community deserve the best we can provide, a responsibility that we gladly embrace.

Inclusivity

One of the key components of having a full, well-rounded team is inclusivity in our labor force, supplier partnerships, and client roster. We hire employees based on skill and the desire to continually improve so that we can build the strongest possible team and deliver the best finished products.

Service

At the end of the day, our overarching goal is to satisfy our clients’ needs and desires regarding the project at hand, and we don’t count it as a success if we haven’t done that. We’re committed to working together to ensure that the end result reflects our skill, responsibility, and accountability, as our reputation and relationships are ultimately the keys to our success.

Meet Our Leadership

Weider Contracting was founded by Matt Weider, a licensed highway/heavy contractor with the intention to help meet the demand for quality site development services in the Northern Virginia region. Experience working on some of the region’s largest and most complex infrastructure has provided the knowledge and experience to execute unique and challenging projects.

Matt Weider

Born and raised in Northern Virginia, Matt is a lifelong dirt-lover. As a kid, he could be found playing around in the dirt or feeding his fascination for construction, something that he never outgrew. Matt began his career working as a laborer with one of the region’s largest and most reputable heavy highway contractors.
After earning a Bachelor’s degree at The University of Alabama in Construction Engineering with a minor in Business, Matt worked his way up the ladder from laborer to project engineer, assistant superintendent and finally, project manager. During this time, Matt had the opportunity to work on many large and notable projects in the area.
Now, he’s taken the helm of his own site development firm, which has flourished thanks to his knowledge, experience and leadership. His yellow Lab, Emmett, can often be found riding shotgun in the truck supervising activities on site.
